The EcoChem flame retardant chemicals are used by manufacturers of fire protection coatings and sealants for transport, building and construction purposes.

‘Intumescent’ coatings & sealants are important applications, which expand to produce foams in case of fire.

They are used to protect steel structures in buildings e.g., because steel loses its strength when exposed to high temperatures in a fire.
